M.S. in Industrial Engineering / M.A. Program
The Department of Economics and the UB School of Engineering and Applied Sciences offer an M.A. degree in econoimcs and an M.S. degree in industrial engineering. These are separate programs leading to separate degrees; however, the collaborative program allows for greater efficiency in meeting the credit requirements for the two degrees.
The collaborative program responds to growing opportunities for students trained professionally in both economics and industrial engineering to develop career paths that lead to executive positions within industrial and industry-related enterprises.
Some subjects in both the economics and enginering curricula are of interest to both sets of students and have generated demand by them to enroll in both program to enhance their academic and market opportunities. For this reason, we have deicded to develop a collaborative M.S.-M.A. program.
